Timewatch Special
Each stage of Edward VII’s life was illustrated using large textured canvases.
The canvases were filled with ephemera from the period such as letters, newspaper cuttings and photographs. Some images were airbrushed into the scene, others of particular merit were framed and placed slightly above the scene to give the appearance of three dimensionality.
Our virtual cameras were then able to swoop down and interrogate the scene. When film archive is almost non-existent and lots of events happened behind closed doors, then this method of illumination seemed to fit the bill.
