3D CGI for BBC Sport
Shot live at Ronnie O’Sullivan’s snooker club and combined with 3D graphics, AT moulded together the look of BBC Sport’s snooker series. The concept was to get a closeness to the game, putting the viewer in the middle of a game, increasing the size and speed of the action as it unravels. The sequence was created by Jon and Paul and the 3D was modelled and animated by Rob.
The sequences were made by using live action footage and 3D graphics. The live action was shot in Romford at Ronnie O’Sullivans club using DigiBeta. The CGI was created using 3D Max and composited using Adobe After Effects. The sequence initially aired in 2005.
