Client: AGCO / Caterpillar
Site: www.challenger-ag.com/cseries

We have designed and built a microsite for AGCO ltd to promote the new ‘Challenger C Series’, agricultural vehicles. The site shows off the four new models and the wealth of features on each. The site has both flash and html versions and was built to be available in 16 languages. Design by Michael & Paul and coding by Clement Cordier.

Video Highlights

This site was built using parallax principles whereby images are created using multiple layers and each layer scrolls by a different amount depending on whether it is meant to be a background, midground or foreground object. This then means that we have some form of illusion of reality. To enhance this further the user was able to rotate the scene which allowed them to view the vehicles from different angles and consequently to zoom into different visible features.

The site was further enhanced by having downloadable feature such as wallpapers, screensavers etc as well as technical specs and feedback features. The whole site was built in only six weeks which was no mean feat considering the project had to be localised into 16 different languages and an html version of the site was also built in parallel for increase accessibility.
