Using photographic stills for reconstruction of the past
The immediate days after the death of Diana were documented in this programme for Channel 4, with direction by Rob Coldstream. The show was produced by Blakeway and included a high graphic content, with sequences created by Paul and Miles Christensen.
The show reconstructed the the fallout between the Royal family, the press and the public’s opinion, through actors, interviewees and exploration of documents.
We ventured off on many photoshoots to recapture and recreate the atmosphere after the death of Lady Diana. These were then composited in Photoshop and After Effects to look like snapshots of places and happenings at that period.
