Teacher chat-rooms have been buzzing with news of this online video resource that brings the past alive as NEVER before – a free-to-use history site that offers 1000 years of British history on an amazing interactive video timeline.
Timelines.tv boasts a wealth of BAFTA award-winning content arranged on interactive timelines from 1066 to the present, giving users a unique understanding of how key events in our national story ‘fit together’.
The site includes a History of the American West, our new timeline Smallpox through Time, and a comprehensive History of Britain, with 54 video modules tracing developments in British social, political and imperial history over a thousand years.
All the video modules are viewable full screen, and they come with a host of secondary resources, stills and downloadable text files.
The site is being used in schools across the country, and is building a reputation as the best free-access schools’ history site on the web.
