Director: Randall Wright
Client: Prince’s Drawing School
Visual Effects, animation, graphics and grading for the Prince.
Trainor Davies Design have been commissioned to provide all the design, visual effects and grading for producer, writer and director Randall Wright’s short film celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Prince’s Drawing School in Shoreditch.
Old masters drawings animate onto the page, views from a jib are continued through the floors of the building itself via ‘camera projection’ in After Effects and drawings of a ‘life model’ are animated to show line drawings become a three dimensional rotating figure.
The film is shot beautifully by Patrick Duval, using short depths of field to capture close ups of the hands and eyes as they sketch their subjects.
The film is first to be premiered at Buckingham palace with the Prince and an invited audience of patrons, staff and contributors to the drawing school.
