Its name is derived from the Greek word “Mètis” which refers to a practical intelligence, one that solves everyday problems with ingenuity and out-of-the-box thinking. The Metis collection eliminates the pain point of needing to find the right-sized sofa with its reconfigurable modular system.
Metis comprises two bases, a rectangular size and a square version, as well as a back rest and a back cushion. Visible metal hinges connect the different parts through hooks and rotations. By adding and rotating the two different size seat bases, the user can create multiple configurations to easily fit a space and foster a specific kind of environment whether it be intimate or highly sociable. The quilting that sculpts the volumes of the seats, backrests, and armrests gives the sofa system its memorable look.
